- Amiga Support Engineers are actively dedicated to ensuring that
- Commodore's third party software and hardware developers can obtain
- answers to technical issues related to developing quality software and
- hardware for Amiga platforms.

- This key role offers a great deal of variety. Supporting developers
- with their diverse projects is the number one priority, but you will also
- be able to help construct Amiga Demo disks, and write small tools to
- help developers utilize the capabilities of our machine, including audio,
- graphics, software video (CDXL) and full screen full motion video (MPEG).

- Responsibilities
- ----------------

- o Provide software and hardware development support to third party
- developers and others as necessary through direct contact, telephone,
- electronic mail, and electronic information systems.

- o Research and provide solutions to developer questions and problems.
- Includes communicating with Commodore's R&D staff, and writing test
- programs.

- o Write technical articles and assist in the development of developer
- documentation.

- o Program utilities and examples to aid in development and debugging.

- o Handle bug reports, and help to determine a resolution or workaround.

- o Test new system and development hardware and software.
-
- o Keep up on on all technical aspects of Commodore systems,
- as well as new developments and emerging standards.

- Education and experience
- ------------------------

- o An engineering or computer science degree or equivalent experience
-
- o At least 2 years microcomputer programming experience
-
- o Experience (diverse as possible) in programming the Amiga
-
- o Proficiency in C, experience with micro assembler (preferably 68000)
-
- o Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
-
- o Must be organized, and have initiative
